Minor surgeries performed in our clinic are elective in nature. As an added safety precaution, all specimens are also sent to the lab for pathology testing.
Elective excisions and all types of minor plastic surgery does result in scarring, however it may be minimized through meticulous surgical technique and appropriate aftercare.
If risk factors are identified for more problematic scarring, this will be discussed in depth before elective surgery.
